Terms & Conditions

1. The agreement

These terms govern the rental of a vehicle from AXM Rent. By completing a booking you accept them. The rental contract is concluded when payment is confirmed.

2. Driver requirements

The main driver must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid licence for at least 2 years, and present a passport/ID and a credit card in their name at pickup.

3. Price, payment & deposit

Prices are in CHF and include 8.1% Swiss VAT. A refundable security deposit is pre-authorised on your card and released within 48 hours of a damage-free return.

4. Insurance & liability

Basic cover with an excess (deductible) is included. Full Insurance waiving the excess can be added. The renter is liable for damage caused by gross negligence, traffic fines and unauthorised drivers.

5. Fuel, mileage & returns

A full-to-full fuel policy applies. Included mileage and any overage fee are shown on your quote. Late returns are charged per hour as stated at booking.

6. Cross-border driving

Driving into neighbouring EU/EFTA countries requires prior written approval and the cross-border option. The Swiss motorway vignette is included; foreign vignettes and tolls are your responsibility.

7. Traffic fines & tolls

Fines, tolls and parking penalties incurred during the rental are charged to the renter, plus a CHF 40 administration fee per case for processing and holder identification.

8. Vehicle care & smoking

The vehicle must be locked when unattended and driven according to the law. Smoking and transporting pets are not allowed; special cleaning is charged at cost.

9. Cancellation

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup; 50% refund between 24–48 hours; no refund within 24 hours.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law; the place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
